Join Green Valley CSA!!
Aloha from Green Valley Community Supported Agriculture.
We welcome you to our 2011 growing season. This year, our season started in March and will continue through the end of November. We encourage you to sign up for your subscription as soon as possible.
Again this year, we will deliver to Santa Rosa, Sebastopol and Occidental, or you can pick up your box directly at the farm.
We have a sliding scale for box prices. Boxes cost $25.00 – $35.00 per week, depending on what you are able to pay.
The following contains information about deposits, contracts, how to make payments and pick-up sites.
A Relationship Between Eaters and Growers:
Have you been a part of a CSA before? A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a way for the food buying public tocreate a relationship with a farm and receive produce weekly from that farm. By making a financial commitment to afarm, people become members of the CSA. Most CSA farms prefer that members pay for the season up-front, but somefarmers allow for spread out payments. We allow both. Some CSAs also require that members work a small number of hours on the farmduring the growing season. We encourage you to get involved with Green Valley CSA and your food by volunteering.
Deposits and Contracts:
In order to reserve a space you will need to sign our contract as well as make a deposit of $75.00. The deposit willensure that farmers get paid as well as cover some of the start-up costs of farming $25.00 of the deposit is non-refundable and $50.00 is refundable only at the end of the season after all your weekly boxes have been paid for.
How to Make Payments:
You will receive produce boxes for 24 weeks at $25 per box.Three different payment plans are available: payable monthly (in 6 installments), bimonthly (in 3 installments), or all atone time. We encourage paying as much as you can, as soon as you can because our farmers depend on up front monetarysupport from members to pay for early season material and labor costs. We have opportunities for other paymentarrangements, if needed.

In addition, please send 6 checks dated the 15th of each month, March through November, each for the amount of $100.00 (dates are 3/15/11, 4/15/11, etc.) We will hold these 6 checks until their deposit dates.
